For those of you who are new to my page, please let me take a moment to say Thank You. Maybe you stumbled upon my blog, maybe you came here on purpose...or maybe you are looking for some inspiration on future adventures. Whatever the reason, thank you for supporting me as a writer and inspirational individualist.
Where to even begin. Why Unscripted Adventures? Why blog about my past, current and future adventures? Because...why not? Ever since I could write, I've always had special way with words. My mother sometimes tells me I get it from my grandfather and other days she really isn't sure where I got the "writing bug". However, there is one thing I know and that writing has always been my way to get out of my head. To get my thoughts on paper and to better understand myself as a person.
A few months back, a close friend gave me a journal as a gift. No reason behind this gift, but I was going through some things at work and in my personal life and she just knew I needed an outlet. 8 months later that journal has been filled and I am half way through a second journal. As I said before, I have always known I love to write and express myself in my own words, but it wasn't until that moment I realized how much it calms me and re-energizes me and my focused attention. I may not be the best at verbalizing my thoughts, but I can write it out like no ones business! Ask my team at work, they will get copious amounts of emails from me, but it can be difficult for me to vocalize what I need from them and it can be a challenge to connect with them on a personal level through talking as well. I am not an introvert and I love interacting with people, but it's just my way of communicating - even if others don't always agree.
Beyond enjoying my time writing, I love taking on new adventures. Although I may only be 30, I have accomplished more in the last 30 years than most will probably accomplish in a lifetime. Therefore, I felt it incredibly important to share these life experiences, travel adventures and just general understandings with all of you. Why share exciting times only with yourself or your close friends when you could impact others to create their own adventures?
I hope as you read through each post I can inspire an adventure inside of you. Whatever that adventure may entail - travelling, creating, inspiring, you name it. We all create our own adventure and no one says it has to be in any particular order or check off any particular box. You make your happiness. That is what is most important.
